Adam Ricks

Co-Owner and Instructor

Adam grew up in San Ramon in which he graduated from San Ramon Valley High School. Adam considers this his home even as he has been all over the country through a 14 year career with the Chicago White Sox. The Danville, San Ramon area used to be a dominant baseball area and Adam is on a mission to restore that. He wants to challenge the status quo of the “travel ball” world and bring families back to focusing on their kid’s personal development for long term success in baseball and life.

Adam has been coaching private lessons, group training sessions and teams for over 13 years and has developed his skills as a high-level professional coach, but also someone the boys can be comfortable around. The biggest thing he wants to teach is how to play the game without being afraid, playing the game hard, fast, and loose with confidence and character.

Here is his baseball background, although none truly means anything until you get to see for yourself how he goes about teaching the overall game to young men:
Chicago White Sox 2004-2017
  • 8 years as a player moving to all levels up to AAA (infielder and catcher)
  • 6 years on Major League Coaching staff
University of Miami (Fl) 2003-2004
  • 2 years playing 2b and hitting 2nd in the order
  •  Played in College World Series both years (had best team, but lost in 2004)
Sacramento City College 2001-2002
  • Junior College Program of the 90’s by Baseball America (not just CA, the whole USA)
  • Played 2b & 3b, went to state Final 4 both years (CA does not do juco world series)
American Legion World Series Champions 2000
  • Our team still holds offensive and pitching records
San Ramon Valley NCS Champions 1999
  • Beat De La Salle 7-2 in the then called Oakland Coliseum
PONY World Series Champions 1997
